Advice to Baruch College

First and foremost, I would advice Baruch to change its email system against. Yes, windows live is way better than baruch webmail we used previously! But, I believe gmail is a much better option. It lets you put labels instead of dragging emails in one folder; it also organizes messages from the same person in one thread so that you don’t go crazy searching the replies received to your messages. Gmail also loads much faster than Windows live and allows you to email Access files. In addition, editing of documents using google docs is an amazing feature, especially for users who don’t have Microsoft Office.

I would also recommend making our website more interactive. I believe they have started working on marketing via social networking websites. Now that Baruch’s Student Life and registrar’s office have a Facebook page, it is easier to keep track of approaching deadlines as well as attending interesting on campus events. They should also offer interactive chats especially to those interested in attending Baruch in the Future. A major disappointment for prospective students it that their phone calls are not answered and their emails are not replied to. An interactive chat group could help the administrative assistants to answer questions of a group instead of one-by-one which tend be repetitive as well.

I would also like Baruch to hold new media workshops to enhance the knowledge of technology among the students especially, workshops highlighting marketing self and networking using social networking websites.
